Dear Compatriots and Visitors,
It is my pleasure to invite you to the 117th Annual MSSAR State Convention at the Embassy Suites in Ridgeland, MS on March 27-28, 2026. Not only do I want to extend an invitation to the Convention, but also, I want to urge you to attend! Many events will take place at the Annual Convention. Registration begins on Friday afte4rnoon with a Reception following in the evening. We are encouraging everyone who has a Revolutionary War uniform to wear it to the reception. We also want your wives, if they have colonial dress, to join us in "dressing out" for this occasion. We want to fill up the hotel with Revolutionary War history and heritage. but whether you have a Revolutionary War uniform or not, please attend the reception.
Saturday will be a bsy day beginning with a meeting o the Southern District led by our own, Dr. John Fulwider. We will then quickly roll into our regular State business meeting which includes the MSSAR protocols, Memorial Service, and regular business. This will be followed by the Medals And Awards Luncheon.
Saturday evening , we will enjoy the President's Banquet. The program will be brought to us by Brian Steele, author and Associate Professor of History at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Brian specializes in American intellectual and political history with a particular emphasis on the American Revolution and Early American Republic.
I encourage you to make a concerted effort to join with your compatriot brothers to honor your ancestor and be a part of this special Convention during this epic 250th Anniversary of the founding of our great country.
