Ann McKee of Meridian request the MS SAR color guard Present the Colors at a ceremony at Dumont Plaza the last Saturday in February (28th) in the downtown history walk as part of America 250.
The event will start at 12:00 pm noon on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Dumont Plaza in downtown Meridian. The color guard will march in , present the colors for the pledge and possibly national anthem, then exit. With no posting of colors, our part is estimated 15 minutes. Marching is estimated at less than 50 feet.
This presentation of colors will kick off a series of historical sketches as part of America 250 for which the Color Guard is not required to stay. for.
The Color Guard typically musters an hour and half before event, but the seeming simplicity of agenda may require less prep.
